Kuoni Trade Sales

For the past few weeks I’ve been on the receiving end of a few passionate comments made by some of our valued independent agents about changes we’re making to the way Kuoni will now look after its trade sales.  Let me start by saying I hear you all and I do appreciate the value of the relationships many of you have established over time with our homeworkers, the staff in our shops and in our call centre.  It’s only natural for us all to wish to keep a valued relationship going.
But this industry is crammed full of fun, knowledgeable, efficient and responsive characters and we have a larger than life collection of them in our Dorking head office who now relish the challenge of looking after you all and helping you convert as many bookings as possible.  We’re all capable of forging new and exciting relationships – it’s what happens up and down the country in all businesses.  To use that old adage, change is part of life.  We’re developing and growing our trade sales office and aim to make it the best in the travel sector.
We’re not planning to slam any doors shut. The transition will take as long as it takes and we’ll work really closely with you all to ensure that we continue to service all of your needs.  We are excited by the additional support we can and will provide.  This will include: your own dedicated and highly experienced Personal Travel Experts to look after your sales needs, faster call answering with less waiting on the phone line, and more staff during peak selling periods.  I can assure you we have a cracking team and they are dying to get to know you and support you to the hilt.
And we’re planning to send lots of potential Kuoni customers through your doors in January because on Boxing Day, Kuoni will be launching its first ever national television advertising campaign.  The ads will focus on those special occasions that deserve a special holiday and will feature a very clear, very strong message on the end frame to drive traffic to travel agents.  In fact, all of our marketing activity has a strong call to action for potential customers to book with their travel agent.
The most important thing to us here at Kuoni is not which channel a customer chooses to book through, it’s the service that’s provided to them, not just at the at the point of sale but throughout the whole customer journey.  That’s why we have the same prices in every channel – online and offline.  And that’s why we’re changing; changing for the better; changing to provide quality independent agents with dedicated support, to help you to deliver exceptional service to Kuoni customers.

So let’s all look forward to a dynamic 2013, embracing change, new relationships and the assurance that Kuoni is 100% genuine in its commitment to support the trade; to help you to provide great service and make more money in the year ahead.  And of course to delight your customers.
